Salutary Songs of Sobriety and Salvation: The Evangelistas!

The Evangelistas are a loose collaboration of singers, performers and composers all focused on one thing: salvation through the power of song.

We sing – sometimes straight, sometimes slightly off-centre – as a form of witness rather than performance. Songs about excess, frailty or misjudgement occasionally surface in places already familiar with them, where a sideways glance can say more than a lecture, and a little irony helps the truth find its footing.

We tour to all sorts of venues: pubs, festivals, kitchens and garden sheds and make a bespoke performance just for you.
